Our goal is to provide you appropriate and confidential treatment. The law protects the relationship between a client and a therapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Ivy Pay is an independent billing system that was created specifically for therapists. It is HIPAA compliant and secure. It allows space for clients to have a registered payment method, without the clinician having to be responsible for safely storing and protecting client credit card information.
You can pay using a credit card, debit card, FSA or HSA
It’s easy! After your first session with your therapist, your therapist will put basic information about you into Ivy Pay and send a request via text to enroll in Ivy Pay. This request will come through as a text message to your provided mobile phone number. You will need to click on the link in the text. You will then be redirected to a website where you will be asked to put in your information, along with your form of payment. You should be able to click on this link at any time to access your account.
You will billed after your session with your therapist. You will receive a text message from Ivy Pay indicating that you have been charged. You can click the link to view the charge, to view past charges, and/or to change payment type. Clients who cancel less than 24 hours in advance, will be charged a session fee.
If the credit card was declined, your therapist will send a request through Ivy Pay asking you to put a new card on file. You can also click on the link sent to you by IvyPay to change payment method.
Yes. If you chose to do this, please let your clinician know ahead of time. This way your therapist can ensure that the information needed by the insurance company is included in your information.

We are self pay and not paneled with any insurance companies. Because we are licensed clinicians, some insurance companies may reimburse for services once they are paid. There is never a guarantee or promise that insurance will reimburse you for monies paid.
Insurance companies require a contract for clinicians who take insurance. When you contract with insurance you are considered paneled. You may find that it's difficult to find a provider that takes your insurance. This is because insurance companies require clinicians to agree to a price that is determined by the insurance company. Clinicians do not get paid until the insurance company processes and agrees to each individual claim. Services are often limited. Clinicians are required to spend many unpaid hours managing invoices and payments with insurance companies and keeping up with required documentation and paperwork. By providing self pay services we are able to better focus on providing the most appropriate and evidence based treatment to our clients. Care is dictated by the needs of the client, not the insurance company.
You will be responsible for calling your insurance company and asking if they reimburse for services provided by out of network clinicians. Clients will pay for their sessions at the time of service. The client can ask their clinician for a Superbill that can be sent by the client to their insurance company. The insurance company then remits payment to the client. The only part your therapist participates in is the provision of a Superbill.
A Superbill is an itemized receipt that a client can request at the end of the month. This invoice shows the diagnosis, services received and the cost paid for these services. The Superbill can be provided to you by your clinician. This invoice is sent to the insurance company, by the client. An insurance company may choose to deny the Superbill. If the insurance company requests a new Superbill with a change or addition, please notify your therapist ASAP.
