Intuitive healing is a practice I believe in. We all have the resources within ourselves to heal and make change. Sometimes we just need some guidance and support along the way.
The last few years have forced many of us to get quiet, to listen to our inner voice and think about what is really important. We may be confronting old fears, looking at what we want to take with us into the next phase of life and what we are ready to leave behind. My goal as a therapist is to meet you where you are and allow you a safe space to process past hurts and begin to move forward.
My experiences as a social worker over the past 20 years have focused on helping families, guiding patients and loved ones through crisis situations and connecting them with supports to allow for continued success. I appreciate that it can be difficult to reach out for help. I hope you will allow me to walk with you as you take this important next step in your journey.
I provide counseling to individuals, couples and families (adolescents, teens and adults). My therapy style is empathetic and non-judgmental. I believe in looking at the whole of a person and the many factors that interplay in our lives. I believe in being goal oriented. I will give you things to think about and experiment with between sessions. I want you to leave with skills you can take with you and utilize in the world.
I have worked in inpatient, outpatient and care management settings. I have helped individuals struggling with mental illness to navigate the intricacies of insurance as an advocate and Clinical Case Manager, facilitated inpatient treatment placement and care planning, worked at Doylestown Hospital as a Medical Social Worker, performed assessments at the Renfrew Center and has worked with individuals struggling with substance use disorder.
I have a special interest in issues related to attachment, relationships, anxiety, body image issues, anger management, yoga, mindfulness, fertility issues, parenting struggles and family work.
I tailor my therapeutic approach and interventions to the specific needs of each individual. This could include aspects of Somatic Therapy, CBT, DBT, IFS, Attachment Theory or MI. I utilize evidence-based approaches and continually engage in research and continuing education in order to remain updated on therapeutic techniques and information.
